Frequently Asked Questions

Share the orthopaedic request and review date. Confirm that the required views are feasible at home and that the report can be ready within the needed timeframe.
Send the complete document. The GharPe Diagnostics Team can identify whether clarification about views or positioning is needed before confirming the examination.
Additional imaging needs an appropriate clinical request and revised service confirmation. It should not be added casually because the machine is already present.
No. Image acquisition and radiologist reporting are separate stages. Check the reporting commitment for your own appointment.
Severe pain, deformity, major trauma or new inability to move safely needs prompt medical assessment. A routine home examination should not delay urgent care.
Follow your doctor's follow-up plan. Do not repeat radiation-based imaging on a self-chosen schedule without confirming the need for another examination.

X-Ray at Home in Marathahalli

Book X-ray at home in Marathahalli with GharPe Diagnostics (GPD). All types of X-rays are available based on the patient’s requirements and doctor’s prescription. A technician brings portable digital equipment to your home within 60 minutes of booking. Select the specific X-ray required, including the body part, side and views advised by your doctor.

Book online. The GharPe Diagnostics Team will contact you directly. For booking support, call +91 96115 08886.

Can a home X-ray support your next follow-up visit?

It may be suitable when your doctor has requested a plain X-ray and considers home imaging appropriate. Tell the GharPe Diagnostics Team when the follow-up is scheduled so they can check both the imaging appointment and expected report timing.

If the referral specifies a particular position, side or set of views, send that complete instruction. Do not book a general image and hope it will be enough for the consultation. If the hospital has additional requirements, confirm them with the treating team before the test.

For the service scope and booking route, see GPD's portable X-ray information. The aim is to obtain the requested examination, not to add scans simply because testing is available at home.

Which examinations need a suitability check?

All types of X-rays are available at home based on the patient’s requirements and doctor’s prescription. Include the exact examination and required views when booking. Tell the GharPe Diagnostics Team if the patient needs help to sit, stand or move for the test.

Explain if the patient cannot sit upright, stand, turn or maintain a position. Those limits can change what is feasible. The person reviewing the referral may need clarification from your doctor before accepting the booking.

A chest image taken lying down is not automatically interchangeable with every upright examination. Similarly, a requested weight-bearing study should not be replaced by a different position without clinical agreement.

How should you organise the visit in Marathahalli?

Provide the full home address, building entrance, floor and map pin. If a caregiver will meet the technician, share that contact and any visitor registration steps. Mention stairs or restrictions on equipment entry early.

Ask what clear space is needed around the patient for the requested view. Remove everyday obstacles from the access route, but leave medical supports and prescribed mobility aids in place. The GharPe Diagnostics Team should assess the safest practical setup.

If the patient is recovering from an operation, explain any movement instructions from the treating doctor. Do not lift or turn them in preparation for a scan without appropriate guidance.

How do you prepare for the imaging itself?

Keep the prescription and earlier relevant images together. Wear clothing that is easy to adjust without unnecessary movement, and remove jewellery or metal objects near the area only as instructed.

Tell the technician about pregnancy or possible pregnancy before exposure. Share relevant operation details, implants and positioning difficulties. An implant does not automatically prevent an X-ray, but it may be relevant to the doctor's question and image interpretation.

Ordinary plain X-rays often need little preparation. Follow the instructions for the actual examination if they differ. Do not assume that blood-test fasting rules apply to imaging, or stop medicines because an X-ray has been booked.

What will the technician ask you to do?

After checking the request and patient identity, the technician arranges the equipment and explains the position. Staying still helps avoid blurring. For some chest views, a short instruction about breathing is part of image capture.

Say immediately if you cannot hold the position or if it causes pain. The technician can assess the next step rather than asking the family to force movement. If the examination cannot be completed appropriately at home, a different arrangement may be needed.

Other people should follow the technician's directions during exposure. A family member should not remain beside the machine simply to watch. Radiation precautions depend on the examination and the help actually needed.

RadiologyInfo's explanation of chest X-ray preparation and imaging provides background on the procedure. Your referral and the on-site safety instructions determine what applies to your appointment.

What is included in the home-visit charge?

Website price examples: ankle X-ray ₹1,500 and chest X-ray ₹2,000. The final amount depends on the selected examination, requested views and applicable visit charge.

Use the price shown for the selected booking. If a distance-related charge applies, the booking details should state where it is measured from and the amount payable. Request an itemised breakdown if these details are unclear.

How are samples processed and reports delivered?

A captured X-ray image is different from a completed radiology report. Images are sent for qualified radiologist reporting. The report is shared through the agreed digital channel for your treating doctor to review. X-ray reports are typically available in 12–24 hours; this reporting window is separate from the 60-minute arrival promise.

Reports contain personal health information. Use the patient’s agreed delivery details and identify any authorised recipient. A family relationship alone should not be treated as permission to disclose the report. GPD’s privacy policy explains its data-handling terms.

Who provides the service and clinical guidance?

GharPe Diagnostics is operated by Saklecha Healthcare Private Limited. Dr Santosh Saklecha, Founder, holds MBBS, MD (Medicine) and a Fellowship in Rheumatology.

GPD’s laboratory services use NABL-accredited partner laboratories, including Santosh Diagnostics. Laboratory accreditation applies to the relevant lab and testing scope; it is not accreditation of every home diagnostic test or device.

The technician handles the test setup and recording. Your treating doctor interprets the result in your clinical context and decides the next step.

How do you select the X-ray required for the patient?

All types of X-rays are available at home based on the patient’s requirements and doctor’s prescription. Select the specific examination when booking, including the body part, side and prescribed views. The GharPe Diagnostics Team will contact you directly about the visit. Serious injuries, severe breathlessness or other emergencies need urgent hospital care.
